TCMP currently has an opening for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to the Maternal Child Department, Director of Nursing Services, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. The RN's primary place of duty shall be the Inpatient Obstetrics and Complicated Obstetrics & Gynecological Surgical Unit. We offer very competitive pay and benefits! Only experienced and qualified candidates should apply. You MUST meet all of the following requirements to be considered for this position:

· Possess either a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, a Diploma Graduate in Nursing, or an Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited university.

· Possess current, unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in any one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the US Virgin Islands.

· Have obtained the minimum of 1year full-time experience in the last 2 years working as an RN in a woman's health care setting or in medical-surgical nursing, and

· Demonstrate competency in interpreting electronic fetal monitor (EFM) strips to include understanding and recognition of fetal heart rate (FHR) patterns, beat-to-beat variability and uterine activity. Competence will be assessed by the NMCP and a determination of the HCW's skill level shall be made prior to the HCWs performance of this duty.
