Functional Analyst Sr - Global Store Development

The position is with a team focused on implementing new technology and enhancing existing systems for Global Store Development (real estate, design, construction, facilities). Sr Functional Analysts on the team take a leadership role in documenting business requirements and processes for moderate to high complexity projects and enhancement releases. Also accountable for authoring functional specifications and collaborating on technical solutions with project teams, business users, and Information Technology partners. Summary of Key Responsibilities The successful candidate must have a demonstrated track record as a senior level Functional Analyst with direct work experience on large, complex, enterprise system projects. Successful candidate must be able to:Create thorough, accurate, clear, and concise functional specification documents, ranging from moderate to high complexity.Elicit and document clear, thorough, and accurate business requirements in various forms including user stores, use cases, and traditional business requirements documents.Explore and document As Is business processes using flow diagrams, swim lanes, and other appropriate documentation methods. Also envision, design, and document To Be business processes using those same methods.Effectively facilitate business user meetings to gather requirements, document processes, validate designed, and drive to decision making.Work effectively in a project management environment including creating work estimates for self and others, manage work to project schedules and deadlines, deliver timely status reporting, and identify project issues and risks and manage to resolution.Create other functional documentation including data flow diagrams, basic user interface design, process models, and other diagrams.Plan, develop, document, and execute software testing including defect identification, documentation, and resolution.Develop system deployment plans including detailed cutover, migration, data conversion, and associated business implementation planning.Work effectively in both an agile/iterative software development environment as well as a traditional waterfall development environment.Plan and execute basic to moderately complex data analysis using basic SQL queries or other data analysis methods/toolsCoach and develop more junior analysts and peers in the areas aboveBuild strong, collaborative working relationships with customers, system users, vendors, consultants, project team members, and teammates.Self-manage multiple priorities, resolve ambiguity, and take accountability to deliver on personal and team commitmentsWork effectively in a highly collaborative team-focused environment Candidates must also have experience in any ONE of the following specialty areas:Geographic Information Systems (GIS) - whether in demographics and market planning, map-based customer services (e.g. GoogleMaps, Yelp, etc), or civil engineering.Building Information Modeling (BIM) - whether in architecture/design, construction, or facilities management. Valid related areas include manufacturing or any area where 3D design is connected to supply chain (BOM) and building a final product.Collaboration: includes document management, system-based workflow, social networking, and other technology-enablers for a global work environment.Years of Experience - Experience in software development, configuration, and system implementation 8 years - Project management 2 years
