Functional Manager

P The Functional Manager will lead a team of functional specialists and analysts in support of a large government information technology (IT) program. They will be responsible for the daily activities of acquisition, budget, business, and financial analysts and specialist in assisting the government program office to execute mission-critical IT projects such as cyber security modernization, infrastructure upgrades, migration/consolidation of data centers, and development of tactical communications systems. They will be responsible for planning and tracking program budgets, developing system development life cycle documentation, supporting programmatic governance and oversight reporting, and providing recommendations to the program manager to improve business processes. They will create, implement and oversee communications that effectively describes and promotes the program. They will also assist the program manager in designated responsibilities. Requires ten (10) years of experience in performing program management support services in a related field of study. /P P The candidate must be familiar with a variety of operations procedures and practices including project management offices (PMOs) and integrated project teams (IPTs). They shall possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and the ability to conduct comprehensive research and analysis of technical and cost data. A BA in one of the following areas of study is required: Accounting, Finance, Management, Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or Math.
