JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:The Designer, Furniture I is responsible for pre- and post-sales designs, plans, and furnishings of single, simple/ non-complex interior environments for commercial and industrial buildings.
The Designer, Furniture I has a multi-project focus and may require occasional supervision from the Project Consultant or Furniture Designer II. Projects involved are simple, non-complex furniture panel systems. This position may support or receive direction from the Furniture Designer II or Regional Operations Manager on large and complex projects. This position will typically work on a single project at a time. This position will also identify alternate products and solutions for existing accounts to increase margins and Office Depot's competitive position. Qualifications:This position requires knowledge of mathematical calculations and basic application of geometry and algebra acquired through formal education, or 2-3 years on-the-job application. Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in interior design. Other Information:- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects with multiple deliverables and deadlines
- Organizational and project management skills with the ability to multiple and often conflicting demands of sales representatives
