GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

The Gift Administration and Financial Systems Analyst assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the BWH Development Offices various fundraising revenue and finance related systems. This role includes a wide variety of systematic process improvement, reporting, analysis, accounting and budgetary support that crosses activities including financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting. Systems range from CRM applications to Hospital wide finance operational and management applications. This position works closely with Data Analysts, Budget and Finance staff throughout the organization.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include supporting current technical systems and automated processes, tracking and detailing user requirements, developing and writing reports, participating in the design and testing of new/enhanced applications. Applicant must have a strong customer service focus, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong technical aptitude. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, managing and negotiating deadlines as needed, and have a keen eye for quality.

Assist the Development Office Gift Administration and Finance teams with workflow automation, report data integration, and process improvement projects.
Lead and facilitate financial reconciliation projects associated with fundraising and cost-management initiatives.
Develop accounting and finance data dashboards and similar executive reporting tools across multiple system platforms Raisers Edge Fundraising System, PeopleSoft, Vision, Hyperion.
Support the Development Office finance team with revenue and expense forecasting and strategic planning functions.
Design and write department and user specific reports via application report tools or Microsoft Reporting Services.
Supports the implementation of solutions that ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Work directly with Information Services analysts to strategize and optimize segmentation and predictive models in concert with multiple program objectives.
Observe and make recommendations for program efficiencies and ways to continually reduce costs and enhance productivity.
Document system capabilities, develop training materials, and provide instruction to support end-user adoption.

QUALIFICATIONS:

3-5 years of experience as technical project manager, systems analyst, or financial reporting analyst
Bachelors degree with concentration in finance or accounting preferred.
Solid understanding of core accounting principles, including GAAP and FASB
Strong logic, analytic, and technical skills
Practical work experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Reporting Services, and business intelligence (BI) tools
Microsoft Office Skills, advanced proficiency with Excel
Demonstrated presentation, organizational, facilitation and problem-solving skills
Independent decision-maker, good judgment and ability to execute multiple assignments at any given time
Previous work experience in direct response marketing, fundraising or similar role a plus
