GIS Analyst Location: Long Beach, CA Category: Engineering Status: Temporary/Contract to Hire Reference: US_EN_2_105432_195069 Salary: N/A Posted: September 07,2011 Adecco Engineering and Technical is currently interviewing for a GIS Analyst II to take on a position in Long Beach, CA. The GIS Analyst II will be responsible for working on a wide variety of navigable map database related research and analysis. The GIS Analyst II will also be responsible for managing and maintaining data sets for use in GPS navigation systems (e.g. Points of Interest). The desired candidate will be genuinely excited and enthusiastic about learning and pushing technical limits and find new solutions. Qualifications are as follows: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, Geography preferably 3+ years of experience with ESRI's ArcGIS Geographical Information Systems (GIS) packages Experience with ESRI, Navteq or Tele Atlas navigable map databases and tools is required Strong SQL or Oracle or related RDBMS skills, including development skills Sound understanding data management concepts in SQL or Oracle relational databases Experience with RandD and/or QA with embedded OEM GPS Navigation Systems is a plus Good analytical, problem solving, and statistical analysis skills are desired If you meet the qualifications please email a Word version of your resume to dwayne.lewis@adeccona.com.
