GPO Manager, Healthcare SolutionsJob Summary

This position is the single point contact for coordinating the business relationships for assigned GPOs. Responsible for the implementation of national GPO contracts, corporate programs and monitoring activities within the GPO membership. Works closely with the sales management team to assure proper customer support and contract implementation. Leads complex contract negotiations, providing accurate and timely marketing information, analysis, recommendations and facilitates good communication between the Director, Healthcare Solutions and ConMed Corporate.Provides leadership in planning, designing and implementing strategic business objectives for profitable and sustained growth at assigned GPOs.Key deliverables to include GPO presentations, GPO shareholder presentations, lead for RFI/ RFP responses, contract development, negotiation, analysis, pricing strategy, contract launches and contract administration.Develops and maintains business relationships with key management and senior leadership at GPOs.Understands all legal aspects of GPO “terms and conditions” documents.Conducts ongoing business reviews with GPOs to uncover opportunities to solve customer issues and uncover future growth opportunities.Provides competitive intelligence, input and trend information to management and marketing.Directs utilization of GPO contracts with field sales.Maintains a working relationship with all support departments (Sales, Marketing, Legal and Finance) within ConMed that are involved with Healthcare Solutions.Maintains consistent interaction with our sales management team.

Qualifications Minimum 5-7 years of documented successful healthcare sales experience.Minimum 2-3 years of documented successful GPO experience.Associates degree plus 5 years relevant experience or Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred.Strong negotiating skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and creative.Strong analytical and problem solving capabilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to lead and /or influence a cross-functional team and operate successfully in a highly complex environment. Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.*Ability to travel upwards of 70%.
