Job Function Summary:

The GPO National Accounts Manager will establish and lead business relationships with assigned GPO's (Group Purchasing Organization. In addition, the position will create access for all GETINGE business units within the GPO's by developing revenue-enhancing contracts and determining the needs of the GPO (Group Purchasing Organizations) relative to conducting business with GETINGE.

Job Functions: (Primary "essential" duties and responsibilities)

* Formulate cross-business unit strategies and plans for GPO's and assist sales management and business units with the development of contract proposals.

* Monitor and ensure GPO contract performance and compliance.

* Establish strong relationships with assigned GPO customers.

* Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.

* Assist in the introduction of business unit products, proposals, services, and value-added programs.

* Develop, monitor and appropriately adjusts the annual departmental budget.

* Keep the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.

* Ability to build strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives.

* Build a comprehensive business plan across portfolio of Getinge product categories to include specific strategies and tactics which align internal sales, marketing, and finance goals with contract opportunities.

* Coordinate contract launch activities with sales and appropriate clinical/technical teams to insure successful new contract launches that accelerate sales growth.

* Provide leadership, direction and counsel working in collaboration with business teams to complete and maintain a comprehensive three to five year business strategy for each GPO.

* Lead and coordinate new contract negotiations and implementation with appropriate sales, marketing, finance and legal teams.

* Conduct routine meetings with business leaders to review business/contracting strategies and results.

* Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.

* Works flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs.

Required Skills and Abilities:

* Proven understanding of Gap Analysis.

* Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.

* Effective presentation and communication skills.

* Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.

* Experience leading and directing cross-functional teams of peers (without direct reporting relationship).

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate break-even analysis to senior management.

* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with the ability to use functions such as Pivot Tables, Vlookup, etc.

* Intermediate skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, and Word.

* Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.

* Ability to work effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service oriented attitude

* Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

* Advanced degree preferred.

* A minimum of 3 years of experience as an IDN Account Manager in the medical device industry and/or direct GPO experience.

* Supervisory experience, with the ability to demonstrate effective change leadership

* Must have a valid driver's license.

Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions:

* Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions.

* The position requires travel of approximately 50%-75%.

* Ability to travel by car or public transportation as needed to meet business needs.

* May work extended hours during peak business cycles.

* The individual must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 lbs.

* Ability to utilize computer and telephone equipment and other related office accessories/devices to complete assignments.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit.

* The employee must have use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak and hear.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
