Job Description
The Global Regulatory Compliance IT (GRC IT) organization delivers end-to-end IT solutions to meet worldwide compliance regulations, including financial, trade, and environmental. As a member of this global IT team, you will work in a highly dynamic, fast changing and fluid work environment. You will contribute technical and business knowledge expertise to design, develop and implement integrated IT/business solutions. You will work effectively across organizations to drive appropriate business/IT solutions; view alternatives from an end-to-end enterprise perspective and understand the broader implications of technical and business related choices.
The GRC IT Services SAP and BW environments are amongst the largest implementations in the world. These environments support all aspects of HPs services business both post sale and outsourced or managed services. These platforms host billions of dollars of HPs business including all post sales support, services supply chain, software supply chain, managed print services. As a member of the GRC IT SAP and BW team, youll be working with one of the largest and most complex SAP implementations in the world. In your role as BW Technical Analyst/lead, youll be charged with:
Ensuring an evergreen architecture/infrastructure to support HP growth, anticipating HPbusiness evolution, and aligning with SAP product roadmap.
Working closely with various PM to ensure the on-time delivery of the projects technical components, and drive the execution from design to Move to Production, aligned on a standard release management process.
Ensuring the quality of deliverables for multiple projects / multiple HP portfolios, specifically around scalability, reusability, performance and supportability.
Leading the design of complex infrastructure and software solutions.Dynamically managing resources according to project demand, complexity, and resources capability.
Assessing and managing technical riskProviding deep support expertise - accountability for end to end BW platform stability andperformance.
Contributing to the yearly planning exercise by analyzing the business demand, triggering the IT optimization demand, and providing the estimates for the anticipated BW work.
This role requires strong knowledge of BW and experience of BW data modeling, interfaces, data loading, techniques and reporting tools (e.g. BEX). A creative approach to problem solving with a can-do attitude is a must. The ideal candidate would be able to engage with multiple levels within IT ranging from executive through developers. This candidate would enjoy a fast paced environment which challenges him or her to 'think outside the box' to deliver a solution that is technically sound quickly to meet rapidly changing business needs. Education and Experience Required:
Typically a technical Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years experience or a Masters degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience related to this position is required.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Strong hands on expertise on BW data modeling ,interfaces, data loading techniques and reporting tools ( like BEx).
Strong experience in BW as a technical lead within a significant size environment (andgt;10Tb, multi portfolios).
Positive and aggressive attitude. High tolerance for a fast pace, change and ambiguity. Good verbal and written communication skills; influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
Demonstrated technical leadership skills. Expertise on Enterprise Architecture for Data Warehousing.
Technical expertise on classic data warehouses challenges (managing volumes, managing growth, managing performance, troubleshooting) including ability to interact with IT centralized teams like DBA and BASIS.
