The primary purpose of the Garage Utility is to perform general assistance in the garage area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sweep and clean bays everyday morning
Empty trash and scrap metal buckets in shop
Check soap and paper towels
Keep refrigerators clean
Sweep upstairs parts room every 2 weeks
Clean work benches once a week
Take empty 55 gallon drums to waste water
Keep outside of building clean and clutter free
Take card board bin to loading dock and get new bin
Clean drains in shop
Keep tool room clean and organized
Perform onsite snow removal (parking lots, trailer tops, etc.)
Fuel shop vehicles and check oil
Check fluids on fork life and platform lift
Collect load bars from loading dock and repair. Put labels on new ones
Collect and sort used drill bits to be sent out to be sharpened
Change light bulbs
Fill propane tanks
Repair and maintain hand jacks/floor jacks
Assist in Tractor/Trailer washing activities
Perform fluid inventory (oil tanks, antifreeze, washer fluid)
Label and put parts away (5lbs to 100 lbs)
Get solar salt for wash bay once every 5 weeks
Make up tool boxes for trucks and sort through old ones brought in
Keep oil dry stocked in truck body and Fuel Island
Keep soak up pads in stock
Tell Holly when she needs to order oil, washer fluid, brake drums, batteries, paper towels, and toilet paper
Execute inventory cycle counting
Take items t hog pens
Take mail upstairs to PVT
Run for parts
Get supplies from cafeteria (coffee cups, creamer, sugar)
Operate fork lift
Operate Grade All
Operate Snow removal equipment
Monday to Friday - 5:00am to End of shift
