General Accountant 2, Esterline Connection Technologies Americas

Location: Paso Robles, CA
Type: Full Time

Job Summary
The GL Accountant will manage the timely, accurate and monthly accounting close in accordance with US-GAAP, and ensure that all internal reporting is completed within the company s deadlines. Further, the individual in this position will maintain all back-office accounting duties as required.

Primary Responsibilities
Monthly Reporting & Corporate Submissions

* Booking all period-specific GL journal entries.

* Processing of payroll files and booking of appropriate entries.

* Monthly filing of excise and use taxes.

* Perform monthly cash and other account reconciliations.

* Maintain spreadsheets and monitor fixed asset expenditures.

* Maintenance of assets tracked in Fixed Asset system.

* Interface with Controller, A/P and A/R staff.

* Complete all inter-company billing and reconciliation.

* Collection and reporting of statistical data.

* GL account analysis as required.

* Report actual results to corporate headquarters.

Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience

* BS Accounting with minimum of 4-5 years related US-GAAP experience.

* Solid understanding of accrual-based accounting.

* Must be detail oriented and well organized.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Ability to execute under time constraints.

* Experience working in a manufacturing company is a plus.

* CPA a plus.

* Strong Excel skills required.

* Hyperion Enterprise and MFG/pro experience a plus.

* Knowledge of SOX and internal controls a plus.
