PACCAR Winch
The brands that comprise PACCAR Winch Division include Braden, Carco, and Gearmatic.
Braden's history began in 1924 with the Braden Steel Corporation located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Braden originally supplied equipment for the oil fields that included drive heads for popping shallow wells. We currently have an opportunity for a General Accounting Manager in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

JOB SUMMARYPerform general accounting function for the Winch Division with an emphasis on general accounting, month-end closing and financial reporting. The position will report to the assistant controller.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Manages general accounting responsibilities, ensuring that Corporate, Division and local policies, procedures and internal controls are effective and followed.

Supervisor responsibility for both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Directs the preparation of timely, accurate financial information for the month-end close process.

Ensures that meaningful financial results and statistical analysis necessary to support management are performed timely and accurately.

Assists in calculation of monthly forecasts and submits data file to Corporate.

Performs various internal control reviews necessary to support Division Internal Control Program.

Develop and implement various process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Understands the relationship of operational and financial systems and develops reports in Infinium, Data3, Cartesis and Excel.

Maintains general knowledge of regulatory pronouncements and ensures Division compliance and/or support.

Maintains effective communication with other members of the management team. Maintains close communications with Assistant Controller and Controller regarding general accounting projects, issues, problems, etc.

Coordinate year-end closing activities (i.e. prepare various 10-K and tax schedules).

Participate in statistical and interim inventories.

Recruits a well-qualified team by ensuring staff members are properly trained and developed.

Special projects as assigned

Six to eight years of accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility

Bachelor s degree required with accounting emphasis

Understanding of US GAAP; CPA/MBA preferred

Ability to handle multiple priorities, meets deadlines, and work as part of a team

Attention to detail with a big picture focus
