Description:

General Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for: providing maintenance repairs to resort units, public areas and administrative offices: repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs. Requirements include: a working knowledge of refrigeration; air conditioning; electric; plumbing; kitchen equipment and other mechanical devices; ability to meet the physical demands of the position, such as heavy lifting, working on ladders, and standing or walking for extended periods of time.

Minimum five yearsof maintenance engineer experience in similar environment.

Must possess excellent organizational and leadership skills and project a professional demeanor.

Manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.

Must have the ability to speak and to listen in sometimes chaotic situations.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.

Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Maintain physical ability to access all areas of the facility, withstand prolonged standing, walking, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying items weighting up to50 lbs. without restriction.

May be occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet andor humid conditions and noise.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms.

Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to Renaissance standards.

Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Technical training beyond high school is preferred.

Must possess a valid drivers license and provide a DMV printout annually.

Must have fork liftscissor lift certification.

Pool maintenance certification is preferred.

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
