Job #56282 Sodexo is seeking a General Manager (III) of Dining Services for Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches Texas. This is a 150 bed acute care hospital, located 140 miles NNE of Houston, 180 miles SE of Dallas and 90 miles SW of Shreveport. Nacogdoches proclaims itself as "the oldest town" in Texas; it is the home of Stephen F. Austin University. Sodexo operations include both Food and Environmental Services at this location and the patient experience and safety are critical to the hospital's success! Position oversees food production and service for; patient meals, cafeteria, and catered events. Position manages; P&L Tenet / Sodexo budget of 1.5 million in financial volume, Registered Dietitian, Executive Chef, and 18 hourly employees. Critical to your success is the ability to develop teams that work collaboratively on quality food service standards, food safety and sanitation for regulatory compliance, and catering for special events. Position interacts daily with nursing, patients, and food retail guests to ensure meal satisfaction and to initiate customer service enhancements. Position reports to the District Manager and provides staff training, supervision and support, works with employees to continually improve performance and customer satisfaction; manages food production and service with enthusiasm while providing hands-on guidance for front and back of the house staff and outstanding results! Ideal Candidate Skills, Certification: Formal Degree / Trade School Certificate, Servsafe Certificate P&L Financial skills for 1.5 million in volume Experience managing other managers; 2 on this team Leadership skills to train & develop 18 hourly employees Food production background, inventory management, on-line ordering Food Retail and Catering experience Detailed knowledge of HACCP and Department of Health Regulations Ability to implement patient satisfaction enhancements Computer skills to work in food & labor management systems Experience with self audits for quality standards Experience; Healthcare / Hospital / Contract Management would be ideal!
