Dynamic high-end hardware and bath showroom in Manhattan is looking for a General Manager to join their team. The position reports to the Division President and serves as the principal point of contact for the company's daily operations. The GM will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the company including inside sales, merchandising, showroom management, vendor management, company culture and employee development.
Selling and pricing strategies
Management of SG&A/payroll/overtime budgets
Improving the selling culture
Achieving ongoing efficiencies across-the-board.
Candidate must be a high-energy self-starter with a proven track record managing the day-to-day operation of a sales team or retail store.
Selling decorative hardware or plumbing fixtures is highly desired.
Candidate must have demonstrated ability to continually improve the efficiency and performance of this kind of business.
Candidate must have a passion for teaching, mentoring and motivating people, with a history of success in this type of environment.
Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related discipline.
Candidate must have 5-8years sales management and customer support experience in a retail or customer facing environment.
