104 room full-service Hilton Garden Inn looking for an experienced General Manager. Hotel has 2,400 sq. ft. of meeting/banquet space along with a restaurant and bar. Hotel is currently being constructed, as previous hotel opening experience is a plus! Summary: The General Manager is responsible for continually focusing on achieving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction and developing team members while maintaining the integrity of the hotel. Ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations. Builds relationships with key customers and is involved in the sales process. Duties and Functions: Conduct weekly staff meetings, and review future sales and operation efforts. Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion. Analyze previous and projected data to generate an accurate forecast. Actively participate in sales discussions, meetings and plans. Knows key account executives and business base. Knows monthly production levels for each sales person on staff. Create the hotels annual budget and monitor the performance of the hotel throughout the year. Produce monthly financial reports and know at all times where the hotel stands against the budget. Manages Team Member Services functions of the hotel by controlling turnover and motivating team members. Inspect rooms regularly with the Executive Housekeeper and/or the Chief Engineer. Ensures the Hilton Garden Inn brand standards are being enforced. Oversees the F&B operations; F&B experience is a plus. Be in the public areas during peak periods, greeting guests and offering assistance as needed. Ensure complete processing of invoices daily by using the A/P process. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the hotel and its assets through enforcing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program. Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follow-up to ensure guest satisfaction. Ensures hotel is in compliance with all Federal, state and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage Hour and health laws. Performs other duties as requested by management. Attend and/or conduct all training/meetings as required by management.
