Immediate Opening. Highly successful hotel. Job Summary The General Manager is responsible for the success and profit of the hotel. They must meet and exceed all objectives set by the company and brand to achieve maximum results in revenue, profit, and guest satisfaction. They are responsible for revenue generation and key account management as well as the development and execution of sales and marketing plans for the hotel. They must provide exemplary performance for staff to follow. They must supervise overall operations for the hotel including, but not limited to, responding to all needs of the hotel whether it may be covering responsibilities or duties to responding in emergency situations. They actively engage in their community. Responsibilities Guest Relations Be readily available and approachable to all guests including future guests. Ensure that departments achieve or exceed the guests service expectations. Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns. Associate Team Be able to lead and train team members to respond and take ownership of guests needs. Be an active leader in achieving the Guest service goals of the hotel. Promote teamwork and associate morale. Lead by example demonstrating self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm. Financial Achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals. Maximize revenue through brand systems and the company revenue manager. Develop and implement annual budget and marketing sales plans. Oversee all accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, payroll, and proper ordering procedures. Sales and Marketing Implement hotel participation in corporate national sales and marketing programs. Review brand inventory controls and selling strategies daily. Continually solicit new business for the hotel. Operations Inspect all departments to ensure the hotel meets sanitation and cleanliness standards. Implement preventative maintenance and deep clean program according to the company manual. Become certified SERVESAFE Training, and any other mandatory programs within 90 days of assignment. Attend all brand related meetings/ conferences/training seminars. Assist with and teach the department supervisors the scheduling tool to remain within budgeted guidelines. Look for potential times during the week that may require additional staffing. Ensure cross-training of all associates. Must pass all brand and internal audits Administrative: Ensure property hiring practices comply with I-9, ADA, ACA and EEO requirements. Complete knowledge of company manuals and brand standards. Must maintain high standards, including passing all internal company audits and Brand audits and programs.
