Department Engineering Job Description To respond to job assignments in repairing, installing, preventive maintenance as directed by an appropriate supervisor. Make all necessary repairs to maintain the hotels operations. Perform all repairs, maintenance and replacement of parts for preventive maintenance schedule and accurately and neatly record all pertinent data. Install new equipment and systems as directed. Must be able to work well with all members of the Engineering Department and all other members of the Hotel Staff. Requirements Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees. Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near and color vision and depth perception. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, electric typewriter, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed. Education High school or equivalent education required. Experience Must have minimum of three years hands-on experience working on minor electrical, painting, plumbing and a/c repairs.
