The Global Marketing Leader Hardcoat , will be responsible for driving the Growth & Execution Strategy for the Hardcoat Business into Emerging & New Spaces aka New Markets & Applications. This role will also serve as the point person on business development activities including mergers & acquisitions.
The position will require rigorous application of Strategic Marketing concepts to Identify and Develop new market spaces in collaboration with Regional Segment Leaders and the Technology organization. Furthermore the position will also lead the SilFORT brand proliferation and renew the Marketing communication strategy for the business, both on line & in print and trade shows.
This role will also be responsible for ensuring Pipeline development & execution for sustainable double digit growth rate in the selected new market and application spaces.
To be successful, this role will need to work closely with other peers on the Coatings & hardcoat Leadership Team including the Regional Segment Leaders , the Global Product Manager, and the Global Technology Director to ensure that all plans and strategies are aligned. This position will report directly to the Global Segment Leader of the Hardcoat Business.
Ensuring that Global program focus is maintained and drive execution thru strict milestone management, while working with the regional teams
Actively manage the Pipeline for New product and Application ideas, while identifying weak signals and spotting opportunities early on in line with Long term Business Strategy.
Leading short and long term strategies development and execution for each market in conjunction with sales, technology, and product management
Consolidating regional or customer based requests into market based needs and vetting new product developments to ensure that Momentive is creating sustainable market based materials for the future
Developing and executing on a Marketing communication strategy for Existing segments and new market penetration
Extensive Global travel to customers, distributors and industry
Prefer 7 years of Marketing / Business Development experience.
Strong Technical Background.
Experience of Coatings space will be an advantage
B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
Strong background in Strategic Marketing Concepts and proven ability to develop new business opportunities/incubate new opportunities.
Self-directed leader with an ability to think startegically as well as work independently in the market
Working knowledge of Coatings market trends and technologies
Fluency in English.
High-energy, self-motivated personality driven to succeed
Ability to work in a Matrixed organization with a Global team, to influence and drive new ideas/changes
