Its motion picture, television, computer entertainment, music and online businesses make Sony one of the most comprehensive entertainment and technology companies in the world.Position Summary: Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Global Network Planner to join Sony's Global Infrastructure Shared Services division in Park Ridge, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing the strategic direction of global network services and for leading network teams to the defined direction globally. The candidate will be part of the Global Network Planning team and will be responsible as a key contributor toward the highly optimized and standardized network environment globally. The candidate will work closely with multiple geographic regions and operating companies for global one network architecture and for global one network service delivery.
Responsibilities:

Lead and develop the strategic direction of global network services
Lead the global network architecture and related efforts
Manage global projects (e.g. IPv6 promotion), according to the direction of the VP of Global Network Planning
Manage regional projects (e.g. network enhancement in Latin America), according to the direction of the VP of Global Network Planning
Evaluate and review network security equipment and services to ensure they meet business and technical requirements

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree required; MBA or graduate degree preferred
Must have a minimum of 5 years of solid enterprise infrastructure architecture and standards experience in large global network environments
Some experience in IP Version 6 preferred, experience in IP Version 4 required
Candidate should have exposure of various cultures in other countries
Must be able to travel globally
Must have strong communications skills and problem solving ability
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities
Strong writing and documentation skills are required
Japanese language experience (verbal and/or written) is a plus
There can be opportunities to work in Japan, UK or Singapore
