Job Description
Summary: The Global Senior Product Manager Diagnostics is responsible for setting the strategic direction and tactical implementation of informatics activities that will lead to a customer centric and goal achievement environment. This role will manage the clinical diagnostics informatics portfolio and stay aligned with other upstream marketing activities related to third party solutions across all Diagnostic businesses. This andlsquo;product championandrdquo; is the focal point with regard to product and market knowledge, planning/execution, and achievement of business objectives. The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for the product from identification of customer and market needs/wants, to concept and product development, product launch, through and including product discontinuation. Core responsibilities include strong market research capabilities to identify new business opportunities through the expansion or enhancement of existing products, new product development, development of segmentation/road map generation/business case generation. Must have experience with strategic pricing, sales collateral generation, and product training. Education and Experience: The successful candidate will have prior experience in a diagnostic laboratory environment, e.g. prior Laboratory Manager, previous product management experience in an industry role, and a deep understanding of diagnostics Informatics/Middleware. Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics. Minimum 5+ years of experience focused on Diagnostics Informatics in a complex, global environment. Must have strong working knowledge of a Diagnostic laboratory setting. Demonstrated leadership and understanding of the complexities of a diagnostics market and customer needs. Ability to develop, rationalize, and present strategy. MT ASCP degree and experience. MBA preferred.
