Service Desktechnicians need excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonalskills, along with patience, a customer-friendly attitude and the ability towork in a team environment. In addition, they should have a strong technicalunderstanding of various hardware, software and networking systems. Employmentrequirements: Two years of work experience, anassociate s degree or completion of coursework at a technical school. Good interpersonal communication skills Ability toresearch, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Can identifytrends in issue reporting and devise preventive solutions Recognize whenissues need to be escalated to second level teams for work vs when to solve theproblem with the person over the phone Must be willing tolog all work activities in the IT ticketing tools. Take initialtelephone or ticketing incidents and requests and work Must be able todocument solutions found in IT knowledge base for future use Microsoft or otherIT certifications are a plus
