The goal of the Talent & Organizational Development (T&OD) function is to ensure we are building the professional skills and capabilities of the Shire organization so that it is a smart, flexible, innovative, engaged, high- performing organization delivering against the corporate strategies. This learning professional will play a strong role in executing against this T&OD goal.
Core responsibilities for the Global R&D Partner include; acting as a strategic partner to the R&D function to help in identifying, addressing and solving business challenges with a lens on talent & organizational development; building and maintaining strong coordinated partnership and collaboration with the Talent & Organizational Development (T&OD) Center of Excellence (CoE), R&D HR Lead, HRBP s, members and functional leaders to be seen as a trusted advisor and partner; thinking at a global level to ensure insights and solutions are representative and aligned with the global R&D function. In addition this role requires strong skills in leading and facilitating T&OD solutions to varied audience groups including senior level leaders.
Additional responsibilities include supporting Talent & Organizational Development programs / projects at the direction of the Head of Functional Partnerships.
75% Serving as a strategic partner to the function to provide insight, expertise and solutions to solve concrete business challenges. Close collaboration and communication with the Functional Partnership team and broader T&OD teams to ensure enterprise wide solutions are leveraged, piloted and implemented accordingly. Being a member of the R&D HR team to consult and execute on initiatives aligned with areas of T&OD expertise. Pilot and test solutions within the function with the eye on broader potential enterprise wide application / implementation.
25 % Collaborate with broader T&OD team to provide support on priority initiatives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree in business or learning/adult education preferred. Minimum 5 years business experience in fast-paced, execution-oriented company(s) required. Experience in working with a global business, R&D function, in a strategic partnership / consulting role and designing and delivering organizational development solutions a strong plus.
