Primary Responsibility Golf cart attendants (outside services attendants) will most often be the first person to come into contact with our members and guests as they arrive. They may also be the last person to see them before they depart. Therefore, their role is extremely important to the overall golf operationsespecially in regards to first impressions. Under the direction of the Director of Golf and the Assistant Golf Professionals, the outside services attendants must initiate and demonstrate our goal of "serviceserviceservice." All members and guests shall be treated to memorable and superior customer serviceboth before and following play. Essential Job Functions Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Meet with Supervisor to review daily assignments and priorities. Be aware of any special golf course conditions or restrictions (such as cart paths only). Be informed of all club and resort activities and services. Inform the golf professionals of any issues or suggestions that may need prompt or immediate attention. Be polite and courteous at all times. Be sure to say than you whenever possible. Learn and use the names of our members. Follow any other company policies or guidelines as detailed in the employee manual and as discussed at orientation. Greet and offer assistance to all members and guests as they arrive, including unloading golf bags from vehicles and placing them on a golf cart or arranging a rental set if one is requested. Greet players by saying "Welcome to La Torretta Lake Resort, may I get your golf bag for you?" Inform all players of any special course conditions, restrictions or delays due to weather. Direct all players to the golf shop for check-in. Keep parking lot areas, clubhouse grounds, putting green and driving range area clean of all trash. Keep the bag room/storage room clean and organized. Be sure all club rental sets are cleaned and complete after each use. Report any rental club damage or missing clubs on all returned sets. Be sure the driving range is neat in appearance and set up per established standards. Regularly check range for empty range baskets and re-fill them for future use. Issue range balls per golf operation policies and procedures. Make sure any golf cart issued for use is clean and properly stocked with tees, pencils, scorecards and divot sand. Set up cart staging area per established standards. When adequate staff numbers allow, wash clubs of guests as they complete the 18th hole and be sure to thank each player and ask "how was your round today?" Then assist with loading their golf bags into their vehicles as appropriate. Inform mechanic of any issues pertaining to a particular cart, such as break or steering problems. Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the golf professional staff.
