Government Accounting Compliance Specialist 8/16/2016
JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Our client, located near Waterbury, CT is seeking a Government Accounting Compliance Specialist to be part of its team and assume overall responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all Government Compliance related activities for this facility.
Manage and assist with the completion of Business Systems compliance review; conduct site risk and self-assessments; participate in remediation and corrective action planning for any Government Compliance control deficiencies; ensure compliance with Government Reporting / DCAA requirements. Ensure policies and procedures comply with applicable DFARS and Cost Accounting Standards and that sufficient controls are in place to ensure compliance.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's in Business or Accounting and/or a CPA license is a strong plus. Five years' experience in a progressively responsible role within the Aerospace and Defense Industry with strong Government Contracting experience is required. Must have strong MSOffice, communications, problem solving, team building and creative skills.
