Grants Specialist / Project Specialist I Job Type: Full Time Location: Philadelphia, PA Job Description: FINANCE PROJECT SPECIALIST The American College of Radiology (w.ACR.org), a professional association for radiologists, has been a major factor in radiology clinical research since the 1960s. Located in Philadelphia, the clinical research office administers the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (w.RTOG.org), the American College of Radiology Imaging Network (w.ACRIN.org), the Quality Research in Radiation Oncology group (w.QRRO.org) and ACR Image Metrix (w.ACR ImageMetrix.net) a subsidiary of the ACR. The ACR is the premier healthcare society committed to ensuring that imaging is safe, effective, and accessible to all patients and is one of the top US health care organizations in federally funded clinical research, receiving over $40 million annually in grants from the National Cancer Institute. The Project Specialist will provide support in developing industry and protocol budgets for studies that report to the NCI in addition to academic institutional imaging budget requests. As a member of the ACR team you will: . Prepare department industry budgets and protocol budgets for NCI studies . Assemble clinical grant applications for NCI funding initiatives . Prepare NIH grants and budgets for existing and new clinical research opportunities . Respond to institutional imaging budget requests . Build monthly budgets and expense analyses This position requires a bachelor's degree or commensurate related experience. BS in Finance/related field preferred. This position typically requires four to six years of related experience with previous experience with NIH/NCI grants as a grants administrator highly desired. Experience with Great Plains/FRX software desired. This position requires PC and MS Office skills along with strong verbal and written communication, organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills.
