THE ROLE IN BRIEF:
Design Strategies and Solutions is an in-house design department for The Advisory Board Company. In partnership with our colleagues across the firm, Design Strategies and Solutions is the destination for quality, creative, innovative solutions delivered in a timely manner. Our current opportunity is based in Washington, D.C.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Online Portfolio
- Bachelor s Degree
- Attention to detail
- 1 year experience working in graphic design, publications or book production

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience using InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Ability to create printed materials (ex: brochures, invitations, posters), presentations, custom artwork, etc.
- Ability to interpret and present complicated concepts in a visually appealing and clear manner
- Experience creating infographics and data visualization a plus
- Familiarity designing in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Word
- Experience coordinating the day-to-day production and design of projects with in-house clients and team
- Experience collaborating closely with clients on the design of graphics and layouts
- Ability to take initiative on projects
- Ability to effectively communicate by e-mail and phone with internal clients
- Ability to work independently and autonomously while within a team environment
- Ability to collaborate creatively with teammates and clients
- Ability to learn new software/techniques
- Ability to learn new skills and tools as department expands design offerings (ex: multimedia)
