Department Ko'Sin Restaurant Job Description Greeter ~ KoSin Restaurant Hourly Wage / Non-Exempt Be the first impression at Kosin, the breakfast, lunch, and dinner restaurant at our resort. The selected Greeter/Host will welcome our guests while consistently providing a gracious and informed experience. The primary responsibility for this service professional is to set the proper tone for our visitors, escort them to their table, and provide them with menus and introductions. This fabulous opportunity requires prior hospitality experience ideally within a high volume and upscale environment. Previous Host/Greeter experience highly preferred, but not required. Exposure to Open Table or other reservation systems ideal. Restaurant experience including independent, chain, country club, or hotel experience strongly preferred. Due to the level of interaction with the guests, this individual must be able to effectively engage our guests and provide the level of hospitality necessary. Excellent communication skills required. Requirements POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for positive experience of guests while maintaining the quality standards and supervision of the restaurant staff. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AVERAGE 'OF TIME 85' Control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following and enforcing check issue procedures. 10' Assign opening and/or closing side duties. Supervise side work and ensure completed lists of set ups of all stations before departure of service staff. 5' Handle reservation book, take incoming telephone calls, note reservations and special requests by guests. Other: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
