Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting grinder operator in processing of titanium sheets through grinders to meet customer specifications. Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Moves skids of titanium sheet with forklift Will physically lift and move titanium sheets in and out of the grinders with the help of conveyorWill physically need to flip and turn the titanium sheetWill visually self-inspect the sheet surface and use a grinding tool to remove any defectsWill use a micrometer and thickness gauge(vidigauge) to check the thickness of the titanium sheet.Performs minor grinder maintenance and periodic cleaningAssists machine operators to set up machine and observes machine operation to detect any malfunctionAssists with installing large belts on grindersOther duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

Forklift training and certification is required.Required to lift up to 50 lbs individually and lift up to 100 lbs with assistanceRequired to stand and walk 90% of the day and use hands to handle materials. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close/distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Will need to read and interpret safety, operating, maintenance and procedure manualsMust have basic knowledge of math, math equations and use of various measuring instrumentsMust work a full-time schedule and overtime as required.Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or GED
