RESPONSIBILITIES:

AEgis is seeking highly qualified Ground Systems and Space Operations Engineer for Configuration Management on multiple Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) programs. Implement and maintain a configuration management system for a single satellite ground system with multiple software builds, multiple instantiations, multiple operating locations and multiple Telemetry, Tracking and Commanding (TT&C) systems. This functional area consists of applying engineering and analytical disciplines to identify, document, and verify the functional, performance, and physical characteristics of systems, to control changes and non-conformance, and to track actual configurations of systems and platforms. Participate as a cybersecurity-engineering representative on engineering teams for design, development, implementation, integration or modification of secure networking and computing environments, cybersecurity architectures, systems and system components. Maintain or modify the GSA program configuration control process to comply with service instructions and other life cycle documents. Identify discrepancy between reports, distinguish between level 1 and 2 maintenance actions, develop detailed change requests, categorize and prioritize modifications, and determine test requirements.

30 days: Candidate will successfully in process accomplishing all security-related activities.

60 days: Candidate will become familiar with applicable cyber-security policies and configuration management practices.

90 days: Candidate will interact with team and teammates and provide expertise on ground systems and space operations for cybersecurity, sustainment, and configuration management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor degree and 3-10 years of experience in configuration management, cybersecurity & sustainment efforts of a service bus-based satellite command and control system for use with operational and Research and Development (R&D) satellites. Candidate must be a US citizen and able to obtain a US Top Secret/SCI Clearance. Current SSBI highly desirable. Detail oriented with strong analytical skills; detailed knowledge of AF Space and Missiles Center (SMC) processes, organizations, and missions. Extremely organized. Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills. Demonstrated ability to be part of a cohesive team and deliver the highest quality service. Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
