PURPOSE: To ensure safe and responsive commercial transportation at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport by enforcing rules and regulations, protecting customer interests and monitoring service delivery requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Ensure the enforcement of rules and regulations for all ground transportation operators by educating drivers, issuing citations, settling disputes, monitoring cameras and performing vehicle inspections. Sell vehicle permits, issue AVID tags, driver passes and log daily activities. Compile airline information to keep stakeholders up to date and informed of traffic volumes and airline delays. Dispatch charter buses in between airport facilities to manage and meter use of parking lots. Research operator issues and status through information logs and/or communicating with other agencies. Perform special assignments as needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Knowledge of regulatory bodies associated with commercial transportation businesses. Proficient in web-based transportation management systems; Microsoft Word, Outlook and SharePoint. Strong communication skills and active listening skills; and ability to use solid judgment and decision making. Ability to resolve disputes in a professional manner and effectively influence for positive outcomes.
