Cargill Meat Solutions has opportunities for Full Time 2nd shift Group Leadersat our Albert Lea, MN food processing facility. The Group Lead is responsible for supporting and communicating department goals, quality standards, training and development initiatives, policies, procedures and Company values to ensure a positive, supportive and productive work environment. A Group Lead must have the ability to work with and motivate others, lead by example, and gain the respect of peers and leadership. They must demonstrate a sincere interest in and sensitivity to others, introduce ideas and take the initiative to work with existing ideas, procedures, and methods in order to improve them. They should identify operational issues and recommend effective solutions. They should have a sense of urgency of the business and be able to meet priorities and deadlines, as well as the ability to perform all functions in the department. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: . Participate in setting objectives for the department . Assist in developing a plan to achieve the objectives and organize tasks to accomplish the plan . Prioritize throughput, accuracy, and productivity . Anticipate and react to potential problems . Ensure that associates are following the procedures and guidelines for the department . Check to ensure that associates are meeting or exceeding department work standards . Maintain positive and professional communications with associates at all levels . Ensure that all established safety standards and guidelines are being followed . Ensure that the accuracy level for the department remains at or above the standard . Ensure that all paperwork and reports are completed accurately and on time . Assist with training to ensure team success. Starting wage: $10.70/hour. $13.80 after 6 months. This position has full benefits such as vacation, health, dental, life insurance and a 401(k) retirement plan.
