Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30am 4pm, Day Shift

Job Summary: In an environment where the patient is at the center of everything we do the Lead will assist the department supervisor by performing combinations of the following activities: coordinate and maintain work flow, auditing and quality control of work competed in the department, ability to complete all work done in the department, able to handle escalated issues with both internal and external customers, and within the department. May be asked to train, give performance input, or help with disciplinary action. Job Accountabilities Ability to perform all tasks of a senior billing rep or a senior customer service rep Depending on the department will monitor or work one or more of the following: Bad Debt, adjustments, write-offs, coordinate work flow, Front End Operations, ; daily billing production to assure timely billing of all payors; and daily cash posting process to ensure cash is posted timely; calls for quality Work with IT to obtain new users ids and functions Trains new employees and completes other trainings throughout the year (compliance, competency, etc.) Effectively communicates with superiors, peers, billing reps, and others, as appropriate, on regular basis, assuring proper flow of information. Assists in documenting standard operating procedures for the Department. Assist in resolving problems relating to all areas of Patient/Third Party billings and missing information. Assures appropriate employee production by providing contingency plans for vacations and absences. Reviews KRONOS reports for accuracy Responds to patient complaints and assures that appropriate action for resolution occurs. Provides input and guidance to staff members in order to ensure continuous improvement in processes which will improve customer service. Maintain all Compliance and HIPAA regulations at all times Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned Job Requirements High School diploma or equivalent 3 years experience in Patient, Client, and Third Party insurance billing, experience in operational areas or QA/QC preferred Extensive working knowledge of Quest Billing system required and other billing systems experience preferred Advance PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Internet navigation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated problem solving, organization and interpersonal skills Demonstrated experience consistently achieving quality and productivity standards Proven ability to provide coaching and training in a collaborative manner Ability to work independently and on a team Ability to multi-task, including the ability to type while talking on the phone Ability to work overtime as needed, based on department needs
