Under the general supervision of the Snowmass Tourism Director, directs and helps lead the Town toward its mission of increasing economic vitality to benefit Snowmass Village, as a whole. Develops and manages an integrated strategic sales plan, establishes team and individual goals for National Sales Managers, and provides leadership towards achieving and ideally exceeding goals. Supervises a team of seven and a $1.7 million budget. Reports to the Snowmass Tourism Director. Oversees all administrative and operating functions of the Towns Group Sales Division Advises the Chairman of the Board, the Board and other committees as designated Develops and supervises the implementation of an annual operating and sales plan in order to promote the destination to new and loyal markets and new and loyal local, state, regional, national and potentially international audiences Directs the preparation of the annual budget that supports group sales activities and presents it to Town Manager, Finance Director, Board and Council for approval after review and input from the Group Sales Advisory Committee and pre-approval from Snowmass Tourism Director. Attends all Board meetings and attends Town Council meetings as requested. Organizes and leads Group Sales Advisory Committee meetings; Establishes and maintains ongoing effective communications with Snowmass businesses, particularly lodges, as well as partners, government leaders, convention and meeting planners, tour operators and the local tourism industry Represents the Town at targeted local, state, regional and national conventions and trade shows that serve to foster the betterment of the Towns Group Sales mission Develops and maintains effective organizational policies and ensures all activities are implemented within these established policies, guidelines, laws and ethical standards Defines staffing needs and determines proper organizational structure and deployment based on industry segments, geography and size; Selects, trains, supervises and evaluates assigned personnel. Coordinates staff training and provides ongoing coaching as well as conducts TOSV formal performance reviews Oversees implementation of discipline and termination procedures for all staff members; Establishes sales production goals for individual sales reps as well as for the overall team Regularly supports and collaborates with staff in achievement of all goals to include sales production and other specific metrics, i.e. market development, pipeline, percent new business, and such Actively manages rep firms to maximize their contributions toward achievement of team goals; Determines and facilitates effective sales tracking and reporting processes Ensures effectiveness of CRM database and generates reports regarding sales markets, sales goals, performance data, etc. to support and analyze results. Monitors industry trends Develops and manages sales incentive program. Recommends shifts in direction as needed; Provides input to the Snowmass Tourisms Marketing team regarding development of annual marketing, p.r., website, online and communications plans specific to groups; Performs other duties as assigned, required or requested.
