The Sales Manager helps the hotel generate revenue and room nights and manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded. Develop a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel, including food & beverage, guest services and reservations; maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program; develop a proficiency of our sales policies and selling techniques with emphasis on maximizing occupancy and average daily rate (ADR); develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, activities and events.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
2 years sales experience, 1 year minimum hotel sales experience preferred.
Strong understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts.
Present a professional and confident appearance.
Proactive sales approach, assertive and fast paced, driven to succeed.
Ability to communicate effectively with public and other Team Members.
Understanding/knowledge of computers and Microsoft office.
Strong time management skills.
Understanding of market segment, competitors strengths, weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand.
