REPORTS TO: Controller

SUMMARY: Maintains utmost confidentiality of all finance information. Responsible for accurate and timely general ledger (G/L) accounting maintenance including: crop accounting system maintenance, fixed assets; analyzing and reconciling G/L accounts; preparing month-end analysis reports.


1.Reconciles, analyzes, and balances G/L accounts including preparation of journal entries, researching and correcting account discrepancies, and G/L account analysis reports on a monthly basis.

Standard: Accurate and timely.

2.Prepares monthly financial statements for respective companies as required. Prepares quarterly, consolidated financial statements with eliminations

3.Prepares schedules, as requested, for annual work paper package for independent CPA firm in connection with annual review and tax reporting.

Standard: Accurate and timely.

4.Tracks and reconciles all crop-related G/L accounts by crop and field. Tracks and reconciles all crop revenue to the crop and field level. Prepares revenue and cost reports as requested by management. Prepares annual crop budget, with direction and coordination with Controller and Ranch Managers.

1.Bachelor of Science or Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.

2.Strong technology skills particularly expertise with Microsoft Excel.

3.At least 3 years professional experience.

4.Strong time management, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

5.Self starter possessing an attention to detail.

6.Grower/cost accounting background preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position works in an office environment using a computer and general office equipment. Accounting staff is small and works closely with each other. Ability to work as a team is a must.

WORK SCHEDULE: Position is regular full-time (non-exempt) required to work a regularly scheduled 40-hour workweek, with overtime as needed to meet the needs of the organization.
