JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking a Hazardous Material Supply Specilist for USAMRIID in Frederick, MD!
ClinicalRM is a full service Contract Research Organization (CRO) specializing in preclinical through Phase IV support of clinical research and clinical trial services for biologics, drugs, and devices. We help our customers get their products to market faster with a wide array of research, regulatory, and sponsor services both within the US and around the globe, and respond rapidly to global health crises.
Applicant will assist and work with Division of Safety, Radiation Protection, and Environmental Health and the Division of Logistics personnel to educate, train, and ensure procedures and policies for safe handling, storage, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste (HW) and hazardous material (HM) is in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations.All personal protective equipment, supplies and incident response materials will be maintained.
Operate forklift and pallet jack as required.
Manage and maintain library of regulations, product literature, Material Safety Data Sheet and field examinations to identify, collect, process, package and prepare hazardous materials and waste for temporary storage, disposal of all hazardous waste and material used and produced by USAMRIID functional areas
Coordinate pickup with Fort Detrick Garrison Hazardous Materials Management Office as appropriate.
Coordinate and stage pick up and documentation of HW and HM from universal waste collection sites. Complete HM and HW reporting requirements per applicable regulations/policy/SOP.
Manage HW and Recycling Accumulation points and disposal sites along USAMRIID loading docks. * Maintain a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee is required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures.
* Perform light duties and other related duties as required and assigned.
Must have a High School Diploma
Must have a valid driver s license
Must be able to work independently following a brief period of technical training.
Must be able to qualify and remain in the Biological Personnel Reliability Program (BPRP) program
Must have Forklift Certification
Must be a US citizen
