[Primary Function]

Provides clerical/administrative support to one or more functional areas of Human Resources, such as recruitment and staffing, personnel records, employee or labor relations, compensation, benefits, training and/or equal opportunity/affirmative action.

[Responsibilities and Tasks]

Duties and job scope require focus on hourly employment and effective/detailed automated use of HRIS information, input and reporting
Gathers information and prepares reports. Maintains and distributes , as appropriate, current employee information, policy and procedure manuals and other communications.
Responsible for recordkeeping within the area of specialization. Compiles, files and maintains personnel records a variety employee data (e.g. name, address, date and reason for personnel action and changes in employee status., earnings, and absences).
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in position or specialization. Skill: Applies some advanced skills to the position or specialization. May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position. Dueies and Tasks: Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. Supervision given and received. Works under minimal supervision. may assist in orienting and training lower level employees.

[Minimum Skill Levels and Work Experience]

2-5 years of experience in human resources position or specialization in hris or other hr discipline.
Applies some advanced skills to the position
College education in Human Resources or business is preferred.
Detail oriented
Excellent communications abilities both verbally and in writing
Problem solver

[Preferred Skill Levels and Work Experience]

Prefer college degree in Human Resources or Business related field
Prefer 5 years in HR discipline with increasing levels of responsibility.
Excellent communications, verbally and in writing, required.
Problem solving ability
Ability to take initiative to resolve issues
Supervision given and received
