JOB DESCRIPTIONAt a senior level, serves as a liaison between technical staff and end-users of software application(s) to ensure functionality and efficient use of systems to support moderately complex business processes. This position specializes in the PeopleSoft HR enterprise application and associated interfaces and data feeds with other systems (internal and external). This position is involved in the implementation of an upgrade. Formulates and defines information technology systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Analyzes business processes and user needs, documents requirements and processes and translates into system requirement specifications. Designs new or modified processes and procedures to solve complex problems considering technology system capacity and limitations and form of desired results. Leads application upgrade/enhancement efforts and communicates changes. Designs related training materials, tests application for errors, writes documentation and trains end-users in the use of the application. This position works at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of best practices and experience in own discipline to provide and improve services. Takes a new perspective to solve complex problems. Works independently and receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May direct the work of other staff members
? Acts as the liaison between business departments and technical staff to enable technical solutions to business needs, either through development of new software or through purchase and configuration of software. Develops business cases for technical solutions and participates in build vs. buy decisions on technology project teams
? Knowledge of IT platforms (such as .net, J2EE, etc.)
? Knowledge of IT system development life cycle methodologies
? Knowledge of project management techniques
? Knowledge of business processes in assigned area(s)
? Skill in facilitating small to medium groups of business users
? Skill in communicating between business groups and IT developers
? Skill in documenting and presenting information to a non-technical audience
? Skill in verbal and written communication
? Skill in planning, scheduling and prioritizing work
? Skill in documenting moderately complex business problems/processes
? When specializing in a particular enterprise application, advanced skill level in application(s) supported
? Advanced skill in office productivity applications (such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
? Ability to work as part of large project teams with multiple competing priorities
? Ability to balance competing high priority work demands
? Ability to meet deadlines under tight time constraints
Must have recent direct experience in PeopleSoft HR.
This position will provide on-going support and maintenance of systems as well as perform scheduled activities related to applicable systems, and function as a liaison between technical staff and end users of systems and applications. Ideal candidates will have experience in the following:
? PeopleSoft 9.1 or 9.2 experience desired, but not required
