Job Description

HR Business Partner to support the Corporate Services management team establishing strong partnerships with senior management and employees partnering to achieve strategic business objectives and HR initiatives.
Candidates will have led HR strategy in large organizations for groups undergoing tremendous transformation. Successful candidates will have a minimum of eight years of relevant HR experience in best-practice, high performance organizations. Candidates will possess the talents to be successful change agents: effectively aligning and influencing stakeholders, be strong communicators, be able to build commitment, and be tolerant of ambiguity. They will have track records of working in complex, matrixed environments. The successful candidates will need to build relationships across all levels and cultures with the ability to effectively influence and coach senior managers. Successful candidates will be strategic partners and trusted advisors on organizational structure and effectiveness; succession planning, leadership, diversity, and helping AIG attract, motivate and retain talent. In addition, the individuals will work collaboratively with colleagues toward building a best in class HR function.
Professional Competencies: andbull; Experience in Organization Effectiveness, Talent Development, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Employee Relations is required. andbull; A successful track record that shows business impact through leading HR initiatives as well as the demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior leadership teams. andbull; Change management experience and the ability to adapt and be flexible with strategic realignment initiatives. andbull; Demonstrated results orientation and the intensity and drive to achieve excellence in strategy and execution. andbull; Able to balance competing priorities in both strategic and day-to-day service delivery. andbull; Excellent project management, organization, prioritization and multitasking skills.andbull; Proven history of design and delivery of enhancements and improvements to established processes and workflows. andbull; Demonstrated ability to identify recurring issues and of developing solutions to resolve, Personal Competencies: andbull; The ability to challenge assumptions while providing HR best in class practices. andbull; Sound judgment and decision making skills.andbull; Experience in successfully building trusting relationships with clients and colleagues across an organization. andbull; Demonstrated ability to successfully deal with ambiguity.andbull; Strong technology application skills (MS Office suite) especially MS Excel.Major Responsibilities: andbull; Closely partner with client group leadership to align and provide HR service, expertise, insight and solutions to advance the client group's and AIG's mission, values, and business objectives. andbull; Partner with management in all areas of HR including organizational design, talent planning, employee training and development, diversity initiatives, employee relations, and individual coaching. andbull; Provide HR specific inputs to the development and execution of strategies, execution plans, and budgets. andbull; Partner with HR Centers of Excellence and client groups to effectively design, implement, communicate, manage, and enhance HR programs and initiatives. andbull; Lead the performance management process including facilitation of functional roundtable discussions.andbull; Provide HR project leadership on significant business events within assigned client groups. andbull; Drive and support employee inclusion efforts. andbull; Lead the talent review and succession process by partnering with senior management in identifying development plans to address key skill and knowledge gaps. andbull; Ensure HR practices are compliant and programs manage risk for sustainable long term growth.
andbull; Ability to travel in Tri-state area as needed.
