The Human Resources Generalist contributes to the success of the organization by providing Human Resources support throughout the community and works in alignment with our organization?s Mission,
Vision and Core Beliefs.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
?BA/BS degree or equivalent combination education, training and related professional experience
?Minimum of two (2) years of professional clerical experience in an office setting
?Minimum of five (5) years experience in Human Resources
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITY:
?Proficiency in Windows OS, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Internet Explorer or equivalent software; MS Publisher and MS PowerPoint as needed
?Superior verbal and written communication skills
?Ability to demonstrate leadership, interpersonal skills and successfully motivate a team in a positive manner
?Ability to direct and oversee the work of others
?Interact and collaborate professionally with a diverse range of customers, including older adults and co-workers, individually and as a part of a team
?Highly effective problem solving ability
?Exhibited ability to make strong appropriate judgments and decisions with professional etiquette
?Self-driven with the ability to recognize improvement on processes and take initiative to execute changes
?Focused attention to detail, well-organized & demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple-tasks, achieve desired results and adapt favorably to changing priorities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1.Human Resources Services
a.Provides consultation to community Executive Director and management regarding: corporate policies and procedures, employee handbook, disciplinary actions/performance plans/evaluations, benefit programs and job descriptions/ADA compliance.
b.Responds to team member inquiries regarding benefit plan procedures and claims.
a.Reads, responds to and/or reroutes incoming correspondence and requests.
b.Maintains team member benefits files and various departmental records.
3.Legal Compliance & Regulatory Administration
a.Assists with the continual update of Employee Handbooks, personnel and benefit forms, policies & procedures.
b.Conducts on-site HR audits as needed or scheduled.
a.Monitors current trends and best practices in HR profession
b.Active membership and participation in major and national HR associations
5.Other Duties as Assigned
a.Other duties as assigned, including support to other Administrative Assistants/Departments as needed.
