JOB TITLE: Human Resources Generalist - Split Shift

OVERVIEW:

POSITION SUMMARY

Career Transitions is working with a client who has an immediate need for a Human Resources Generalist at their Arthur, IL facility to support their fast-paced, lean manufacturing environment. The plant is comprised of 800 employees. The HR Generalist is a key member of the HR Department which is responsible for fostering a team culture that drives high performance. The person in the position will report directly to the Field Human Resources Manager on site.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Assist in the implementation and interpretation of all Company policies to assure consistent application and equitable employee relations
* Assist in employment investigations and maintain legal compliance on all employee relations/performance issues
* Coach and counsel management staff regarding employee relations and performance management
* Recruit for hourly production staff
* Facilitate new hire & benefit orientations
* Conduct annual local compensation and benefits survey
* Assist in organizational training and development activities
* Assist in compiling, updating, verifying, generating, and distributing HR reports
* Special projects as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum 1-3years in a generalist function
* Experience working in a manufacturing organization helpful
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business preferred
* PHR certification desirable
* Experience working with PeopleSoft or Kronos is a plus
