Ultra Electronics, ProLogic is currently seeking well qualified candidates for the position of HR Generalist at our Manassas, VA location.

POSITION PURPOSE:
To provide administrative support to all levels of the organization on a wide variety of both complex and routine human resource related topics and issues. Advises managers, supervisors, or administrators on all HR practices, to provide information to employees about regulations, contract language, and policies, and to provide general support to the human resource function (e.g. correspondence generation, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry). Administer benefits and answer benefits questions, provide employees assistance with claims. Ensures compliance of all company policy, plans and practices are administered in accordance with all federal, state and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
Participates in the development of department goals, objectives, and systems.
Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
Provides benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
Oversea Open Enrollment, communicate changes to employees, provide answers to employee questions, verify and update changes in the HRIS.
Maintain, STD, LTD, and FMLA. Provide communication to employees and assist with processing claims and leave benefits.
Assists in development, implementation and maintenance of company policies and procedures and company handbook.
Maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Onboarding all employees; conducts new-employee orientations; creation & distribution of new hire packets, monitors career path program.
Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Maintains company organization charts.
Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Assist in maintaining overall compliance with applicable federal and state compensation and employment regulations.
Assist in updating and maintaining HR records (paper & electronic) in accordance with legal requirements and company policy; compile reports from records as requested
Assist in administration of affirmative action program; maintain records, reports, and logs which substantiate EEO compliance
Assists in development, implementation and maintenance of company policies and procedures and company handbook.
Data entry of new hire information into the HR, payroll, and accounting systems
Ensure the employee's personnel files are updated and maintained upon submitted requests and in accordance with legal requirements and company policy
Ensure that employees receive timely answers to HR questions

Required Education & Experience:

BA or BS in Human Resources or closely related field or equivalent experience
1+ years of professional Human Resources and Benefits Administration experience
