Human Resources Generalist


We are looking for a HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST for our client, a manufacturing organization located in Northern Vermont.

This individual will report into the Human Resources Manager providing support across all areas of HR functions. This individual will work in partnership with senior management to provide strategic HR support enabling the organization to reach its business objectives. Working with other HR team members, this position will foster consistency and professionalism encouraging a productive and respectful working environment.


o Work in partnership with the HR Manager in order to coordinate programs including but not limited to disability, worker's compensation and FMLA claim management. Work with employees and managers to assist in the claim processes, track employees who are out of work due to an injury, and participate in injury/accident investigations in order to aide in the mitigation of future injuries.

o Utilize and maintain HR Information System (HRIS) and Payroll Interface with regards to entering new hires, update or initiate employee data change, track of 90-day introductory period, incremental and annual performance evaluations and increases

o Provide support to management and employees in administering human resource policies and procedures. Support HR Manager in all facets of Employee Relations including employee counseling, investigations, and disciplinary actions as necessary and provide support directly in the absence of HR Manager.

o Work with the HR team to provide recruitment assistance across the entire hiring process to include posting, sourcing, representation at job fairs, coordinate pre-screening and interviews through onboarding.

o Maintain Job Descriptions working with management to ensure that positions are written, consistently formatted and updated per established company guidelines.

o Provide benefit assistance to employees and management by answering questions and/or supplying information. Assist new hires with their benefit enrollment process. Coordinate & act as resources relative to Wellness offerings.

o Complete employment verifications, Department of Labor Form 25's, and Unemployment requests. Providing reports to leadership as requested.

o Provide assistance in the area of training and development to include the design, coordination and delivery of company training sessions. Subjects include but are not limited to sexual/workplace harassment, hostile work environment prevention, team-building, conflict resolution, and other training designed to foster a collaborative, healthy and safe workplace.

o Responsible for oversight of the employee ID Badge system, ensuring accurate information is in the system, badges are working effectively and design meets the requirements of the company guidelines. Ensure access is added and deleted for new hires and terminations, supporting the company's safety plan.


o Bachelor's Degree required.

o Three (3) + years of relevant Human Resources experience at a HR Generalist level or higher required.

o Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, communication and organization skills.

o Computer skills to include but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

o A high degree of integrity, ethics, and sound judgment.
