Position Summary: The HRIS Senior Technical Analyst is a support and developer position within the HRIS structure. The primary focus of this position is the development of new solutions and the enhancement of existing solutions. The secondary focus includes support and maintenance of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) in addition to other systems supported by the HRIS team. The HRIS environment includes applications, integrations, software and data administration and management. HRIS Senior Technical Analysts are the final point-of-contact for issues in a multi-tiered support environment, and will be primarily involved with development of complex reports, application interfaces, web development, as well as assisting other subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. As a Senior HRIS team member, maintaining standards, participating fully in change management policies, and contributing to the electronic knowledge base and technical library are expected. Senior Technical Analysts will also be involved with major initiatives and projects as needed. Duties involve independent judgment and discretion on issues that may be sensitive or confidential in nature. People or Process Management Responsibility: implementing HRIS projects and procedures. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Production Support (25% of time) Provide tier-three support for HRIS including, but not limited to, researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Development/Process Improvement/Projects (45% of time) Recommend and develop process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, and enhancement. Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll). Reports/Queries (5% of time) Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data. Training (15% of time) Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train clients on new processes/functionality. Train HRIS Specialists and Technical Analysts. Individual Development (10% of time) Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge. Participate in user group meetings/conferences. Collaborate with the HRIS team for integrations, upgrades, modifications, enhancements, etc., and participate in issue tracking and resolution for all HR and Payroll systems. Develop/enhance application interfaces, data exchanges, Cognos & SSRS reports, and application based portal and platform configurations through the use of the application tools, SQL, and any other means in use by the HRIS team. Resolve advanced HRIS system issues, acts as \\"troubleshooter\\" for HR and Payroll, works with IT department closely. Ensure quality, timeliness and proper use of HR information retrieved from systems, review and prioritize system maintenance, and develop enhancements for HRIS systems. Ensure security of HR and Payroll information through established security protocol. Develop training and documentation of system use for HRIS team members (run books, technical documents, support guides, etc.). Research new techniques in the development of systems and maintain knowledge of current trends and strategies in technology fields relating to HRIS. Assist as needed for medium to large size projects where development or enhancements are required. Other projects, tasks or duties as assigned. Required Skills and Experience: Minimum 6+ years' experience in a combination of the following areas: report writing, querying, and data analysis, HRIS (or similar system experience), and ERP or database management, and training. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, or related field. Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of the organization. Strong customer orientation, sense of urgency in getting things done, and ability to oversee and prioritize multiple projects. Strong critical thinking with the ability to review numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings Ability to handle confidential material and details in getting things done, and ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects. Highly focused attention to detail; vigilant in data analysis to arrive at correct conclusions, and results oriented. Ability to remain flexible and multi-task while adapting to an ever-changing HRIS environment. Excellent communication skills with ability to present findings, or translate the data into an understandable document; must be able to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas. Strong HRIS (or similar system) experience and knowledge of HR and Payroll processes and terminology. Familiar with Change Management, SDLC Proficiency in technical documentation Knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure Knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
