HTP DNA Sequencing & Genotyping Scientist I

Currently, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an opening for a HTP DNA Sequencing & Genotyping Scientist I (Job Number 17217).
The Genome Sequencing core at the Hartwell Center for Bioinformatics & Biotechnology provides state of the art genome sequencing analysis to investigators at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital using Illumina GAIIx & Roche FLX platforms. To date, the core has generated more than 280 gb of sequence data from eukaryote, bacterial & viral genomes. The HTP DNA Sequencing & Genotyping Scientist I provides technical & analytic support in the deployment of current second-generation & future sequencing technologies. This position includes substantial interaction with St. Jude investigators to provide guidance & support in the use of massively parallel sequencing technologies. The HTP DNA Sequencing & Genotyping Scientist I is responsible for the introduction & deployment of new services in the laboratory, performing st&ard & specialized molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid preparation/quantification, cloning, PCR, nucleic acid sequencing, & other specific techniques as required.
