Senior/Principal:
Senior Facilities Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer
*
Provide timely, high quality, customer service-based
engineering solutions for Facilities and
Infrastructure Projects.
*
Primarily providing engineering oversight for
designs of capital improvement projects
*
Lead, multidisciplinary design teams in support of
projects that construct or upgrade these training
facilities and site infrastructure.
*
Work closely with subcontracted engineering and
architectural firms as well as facility end users,
compliance staff and operations engineering to
develop integrated final designs of HVAC and other
mechanical systems.
*
Support of the bid and procurement process for
construction, engineering field support for the
construction phase, commissioning and project close
out.
Principle Facilities Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer
*
Provide timely, high quality, customer service-based
engineering solutions for facilities mechanical
systems.
*
Daily engineering support for operating HVAC systems
and other building mechanical systems at the
Kesselring Site.
*
Work with end users, compliance staff, operations
staff, union trades and planning organizations to
identify/plan/execute maintenance and repair
strategies for HVAC systems.
*
Lead the engineering effort supporting maintenance,
renovation and repair projects for building
mechanical systems. This will be done through
development of designs and contract specifications
both internally and through the use of subcontracted
engineering and architectural firms.
*
Support of the bid and procurement process for
construction, engineering field support for the
construction phase, commissioning and project close
out.
Requirements:
Senior Level Engineer:
BS degree in Engineering from an accredited college or
university and a minimum of six years of relevant
experience; or MS degree in Engineering from an
accredited college or university and a minimum of four
years of relevant experience.
Experience with the design and maintenance of heating
ventilation and air conditioning systems for commercial
and industrial applications. Knowledge of building
automation systems.
Working knowledge of the New York State Mechanical Code,
ASHRAE Fundamentals and Guiding Principles requirements.
Experience with the development of engineering documents
(e.g. engineering analyses, technical specifications,
functional requirements, costs estimates, equipment
maintenance requirements and engineering sketches)
Principal Level Engineer:
BS degree in Engineering from an accredited college or
university and a minimum of nine years of relevant
experience; or MS degree in Engineering from an
accredited college or university and a minimum of seven
years of relevant experience.
Experience with HVAC system selection, design and
maintenance for class room, commercial, computer room
and industrial applications.
Experience with building automation system operation,
open/closed loop water treatment, air filtration and
steam systems.
Strong working knowledge of the New York State Codes
(PC, MC, EB, ECC), ASHRAE ( Fundamentals, 15, 34, 62,
90.1), Guiding Principles Requirements, ASME 31.9, ACGIH
Ventilation, Plumbing Systems, Pressure System Testing
and Relief Valve Requirements.
Desire to share technical knowledge with less
experienced staff.
Experience with the development of engineering documents
(e.g. engineering analyses, technical specifications,
functional requirements, costs estimates, equipment
maintenance requirements, engineering sketches, energy
studies, and ECM payback evaluations)
