Job Title: HVAC Installer Lead Journeyman
HVAC Lead Installer must be able to lay out proper size duct work for maximum efficiency of equipment. Interpret code, specifications and blueprints to ensure proper methods of installation. Understands control operation, and sequence of operation for commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Must be well organized to keep accurate install records and communicate effectively to determine needs. Works as a leader, has strong customer relationships and team building qualities. Follow and lead by example on company policies and safety regulations. Manages associate weekly tool box safety requirements, hands on install training, and coaching of apprentices and co-workers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install equipment per manufacturers specifications to honor manufacturers warranties
Lay out new work for installers to follow, including proper support, method of installation, and crane lifts
Insure all company and site standard procedures safety policies are followed
Follow job schedule to complete accurate and timely equipment and duct installation
Complete documentation, including but not limited to, change orders, timesheets, expense reports, as-built drawings, and purchase card logs
Conduct general tasks including, but not limited to, safety training, group meetings and maintaining tools and vehicles
High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
Over seven years HVAC experience working on commercial or industrial HVAC equipment /systems.
EPA universal refrigeration license is a plus.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
Knowledge of HVAC installation systems. Basic mathematical abilities in all units of measure. Read blue prints and technical schematics as well as specification manuals.
