Hardware Development Engineer position in the Datacenter Product Group (DCG), based out of Morrisville, North Carolina. This is an exciting role in the Server Development organization that has a strong focus to be the #1 trusted IT Partner in the Datacenter. Opportunities on the team include developing innovative proof-of-concept server designs and component usage that highlights future technology and use cases. The role also offers solving unique client challenges through the custom development of solutions and direct engagement with customers. The candidate will be encouraged and challenged to grow and learn new technologies as well as gain real world customer experiences. The engineer will be part of the development team that is highly motivated to engage, understand and solve the technical challenges each day.

Position Requirements

*Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering

*Strong proficiency in shell scripting (BASH/Perl/Python and Windows Power Shell) preferred.

*Programming experience in C/C++, JAVA and FPGA programming with VHDL/Verilog preferred.

*Proficiency in Linux/Windows Operating systems. Experience with OS virtualization is a plus.

*Some knowledge in server sub systems including CPU/memory/Pie and RAID/Networking technologies is preferred

*Knowledge in Electrical Design, i.e. Schematics, Layout, Electrical Analysis, Signal Integrity, preferred

*Excellent oral and written communications skills with fluency in English.

*Ability to work in a team environment and passionate about learning new technologies and skills.
