Job Description

TITLE:Corporate Head of Human Resources
LOCATION:Burbank, California

THE OPPORTUNITY: A privately-held, Spanish-language media company with 1000 employees.The company requires a bi-lingual human resources director to shape HR for continued growth and to prepare for a public offering in the near future. Media/Entertainment industry experience is not required.

REPORTING
RELATIONSHIP:Reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is of counsel to the entire executive management team. Current staff of four includes one human resources manager.

THE PROFILE/
REQUIREMENTS:The successful candidate will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:

15 years of general human resources management experience, at least five of which managing a staff.
Experience with all facets of human resources within an emerging, growth-oriented company whose basic program components are in place but require enhancement and sophistication to enable scalable corporate growth.
In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws and related requirements for regulatory reporting and compliance.
Intelligence, poise, creativity, confidence, humility and integrity. A collaborative and entrepreneurial style, a team and service-orientation, superb communications and the passion to optimize a company's people resources and processes. This position is well-suited to a strategic thinker who also is able to roll up his/her sleeves and succeed in a lean, fast-paced company environment.
Bilingual Spanish.
Promotable: possess the knowledge, skill and ability to fulfill this role and the potential to assume additional administrative management responsibility as the company grows.
Able to travel 15%.
Local candidates strongly preferred.EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

COMPENSATION:Base salary, annual performance bonus and benefits.
